There is no guarantee that everyone who auditions will be cast in the play.
Monday, April 15th through Friday, April 19, 2019 (After School)
The first rehearsal begins approximately 15-30 minutes after the audition for a few select parts. While not all cast members will be needed at every session, those auditioning must have a clear schedule for the entire week and if selected, be able to attend all rehearsals required for their role.
DRESS REHEARSAL: Friday, April 19, 2019
3:00-6:00 All Cast are REQUIRED to be in attendance, 6:30-7:30 Older Cast Rehearsal
Saturday April 20, 2019 at 2:00 and 4:30pm
The performances will be presented at West Woods Elementary School. All those cast must be available for all of the rehearsals AND both scheduled performances.
We realize that the children may have other after-school commitments, however, this is a once a year opportunity! This is a truly amazing program and experience. If your child is interested, we suggest you consider the possibility of missing a week of the other activity. Rehearsal schedules for the week are distributed on Monday, immediately following the audition so you have the ability to identify any potential conflicts for the week at that time.
What is the play about?
The charming tale of PINOCCHIO, the wooden puppet who longed to become a real, live boy, comes to life when the Missoula Children’s Theatre (MCT) and more than 60 West Woods Elementary students perform an original, musical adaptation of this classic tale. The cast will feature Pinocchio, the Blue Fairy, Jiminy Cricket, the villainous Fox and the mischievous Cat. Also featured are Puppets, Pinocchio’s tough friend, Candlewick, and Candlewick’s Crew. To complete the ensemble there will be Urchins, School Kids, and masterfully crafted Toys.
COST TO PARTICIPATE:
$60 per child, includes all rehearsals, performance fees and costumes. Participation fee due at rehearsal by Wednesday 4/17. Tickets to the show will be $5 per person, per show and are sold the week of the performance.
